Same Day Glasses for those in a hurry. At Grand Central Optical, we understand how valuable your time is, which is why we are prepared to serve you as quickly as possible.

There are several reasons why you may need a new pair of prescription glasses sooner rather than later. Perhaps your glasses fell and broke, you misplaced them, or you are just now realizing that your current prescription is no longer good enough and that you need an update (book an eye test from one of our New York State licensed optometrists if it has been a while). In any case, you are probably wondering, "Can I get an eye exam and a brand new pair of glasses on the same day?"

While you will typically get your prescription glasses in a reasonable time frame (in many cases, about three days to a week), Grand Central Optical offers a same-day glasses service. For most prescriptions and designer frames that are in stock, you can leave with your brand new pair of glasses the same day as your appointment. This is because we keep an extensive inventory of thin lenses in our stores! You can leave with your brand new eyeglasses within 30 minutes, regardless of the frame you want or the price.

Please keep in mind that your lenses may take longer to make if you have a complicated prescription. You can always call ahead to make sure we have them in stock.
